A simple visual to aid prescribing of topical corticosteroids for healthcare professionals.

Mild- Hydrocortisone 0.1 % Hydrocortisone 0.5 % Hydrocortisone 1 % Hydrocortisone 2.5 % Synalar® 1 in 10 dilution – fluocinolone acetonide 0.00625 %

With topical local anasethetic and antipruritic
Eurax®- hydrocortisone ( HC 0.25 % , crotamiton 10 % )


 With ANTIFUNGAL

Timodine® 
HC 0.5 % + Nystatin 100,000 units/g + benzalkonium chloride solution 0.2 %

Canesten HC® – HC 1 % + clotrimazole 1 %

Daktacort® HC 1% + Miconazole nitrate 2 %

Nystaform-HC® HC 0.5% + Nystatin 100 000 units/g + chlorhexidine 1 %


 WITH ANTIBACTERIALS

Fucidin H® –> HC acetate 1 % + fusidic acid 2 %

Terra- Cortil HC 1 % + Oxytetracycline 3 %
( contraindicated in pregnancy , lactation infants and small children )

With TAR- used in psoriasis
Alphosyl HC® – Alcoholic coal tar extract 5 % + HC 0.5 % + Allantoin 2 % Mildison® Lipocream 1% HC Dioderm® HC 0.1% cream ( comparable with HC 1 % ) Efcortelan® – HC 0.5 %
