Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ( CFS ) is a complex chronic disorder of unknown etiology characterized by the presence of intense and disabling fatigue ( physical and mental ) , with a clinical course and without any apparent cause which interferes with daily activities , does not decrease with rest , worsens with exercise and is usually associated to systemic , physical and neurophysiological manifestations ( Ballester M et al 2002 , Strauss S Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine 2006 )
